Common questions

Will the magnet hold it to my van ceiling while I'm driving?

Yes. The inbuilt magnet is strong enough to hold the light flat against a metal van ceiling, including on potholes and dirt roads. It also works on 4WD tailgates, the underside of metal cabinets, anywhere there's clean metal.

What if where I want it isn't metal?

That's what the self-adhesive plates in the box are for. Stick a plate on plywood, plastic, or the fabric headliner — wherever you want the light — and you've now got a magnetic mounting point. The plate stays put, the light comes off whenever you want.

How bright is it on full, and can I really dim it?

Full power is warm 3000K white — bright enough to cook by. Hold the button down and it dims smoothly, all the way down to a soft glow you can sleep next to without it being annoying. One tap brings it back to full.

How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?

About 6 hours of run time on full brightness, longer if you keep it dim. Recharges via USB-C and the cable comes in the box — plug it into any phone charger or a USB port in your car.

Is it safe to leave on overnight?

Yes. It runs cool, draws very little power and shuts itself off when the battery runs out — there's nothing to burn or short. Plenty of customers use it as a kids' night light in the van.
